AF-4 Series Flares
D.B.I.’s AF-4 Series Flares are engineered for reliable, smokeless operation using a high-volume combustion air blower generally driven from a 480 VAC 3 Ø power source, with optional high pressure release capability. This innovative design maintains smokeless combustion from minimum to maximum flow rates—without modulating the blower. By eliminating the need for a Variable Frequency Drive and Flow Meter, this allows for substantial savings. Unlike other types of smokeless flares, the flare tip is “open ended” resulting in a very low pressure drop across the tip. This is ideal for flaring large amounts of tank vapors, relieving at just a few ounces of pressure.
About the AF-4 Series
AF-4 Series Flare series offer a wide range of destruction capabilities. Available in single pressure or dual pressure units. Our base model, equipped with a five-horsepower combustion air blower, handles up to approximately 1.3 MMscfd for both low and high pressure applications. Alternate configurations of the 4-Series unit allow for capacities of 20 MMSCFD on the high-pressure side with our TBone® Fixed Orifice Tip, or 10 MMSCFD with the Variable Orifice Pressure Tip.
