Retractable Ignition System
Our traditional retractable ignition system can be installed as a Bolt-On, or Weld-On to any D.B.I. flare. These can be mounted before the flare is erected, or retrofitted to flares that are in service.
Each retractable system includes two guide cables, a draw cable, a manual winch and a pulley to raise/lower the pilot on a flare up to 100 feet.
About Retractable Ignition Systems
This equipment is manufactured specifically for D.B.I.’s AF Series Flare systems. Bolt-On units can be installed without welding, either before flare erection or retrofitted to existing flares, while Weld-On units are typically preinstalled. Fuel gas for the pilot is provided by a flexible SS braided hose while wiring for the pilot is provided by custom made S/O cable, all assembled into a single harness.
