Flame Arrestor Purge
D.B.I.’s flame arrestor purge device is a great addition to your facility for peace of mind and added safety. When a flame is present on an arrester, D.B.I.’s purge system will flood supply gas through the unit, protecting the element and providing longer burn times. This device is especially useful during site commissioning or start up where oil and water tanks may still have oxygen present. The unit will continuously cycle until a flame is no longer detected on the element.
About our Flame Arrestor Purge
- Flame arrestor purge system designed to prevent burn-backs.
- Temperature probe installed on the downstream side of the arrestor. If temperature exceeds 300°F due to a burn-back, a gas solenoid opens.
- Purge/flood gas is injected on the upstream side of the arrestor to extinguish the flame.
- Burn-backs occur when oxygen enters the system; the purge removes oxygen from the line.
